Proposals are being developed by Cearn Solar Farm Ltd for a large Solar Farm that includes farmland around Charney and close to Charney Manor. Details of the emerging scheme can be found on the Company’s website
The Parish Council is currently working with other affected Parish Councils to find out more about the proposals and the timescale involved. At the moment a formal application has not been submitted and it seems unlikely this will happen until well into 2027.
An independent Action Group has been formed. Information for anyone who wishes to get involved can be found on its website – Protect the Vale
